Wrapping up November 🍂

This month has been my busiest so far, and that’s great. One week I had 6 orders go out. That is nothing short of a blessing. When we are given gifts from God, it is His will to share those gifts with others. I truly believe that I am using my gifts to fulfill a joy in others; by celebrating their special occasions with delicious treats. Subsequently, the busyness of the business becomes my creative outlet and stress reliever. I truly give God all the glory in taking this little home venture of mine to great heights and opening the doors for in bigger blessings to come. #LikealotCakes

Here are some of November’s  creations:

2 tier gum paste giraffe baby shower cake
Owl smash cake for Lacey’s 1st birthday
Vanilla & chocolate buttercream cupcakes
Buttery sun sugar cookies with royal icing
Carrot cake w/ cream cheese frosting and fondant ginger people and gumballs
My first wedding cake! Chocolate cake with buttercream
My first wedding!! 100 vanilla and chocolate cupcakes with buttercream
Pink/purple rosette smash cake

Boo! Birthday Cupcakes. 🎃🕸🕷👻

How do you throw a spooky Halloween birthday party? With monster cupcakes of course! What a blast I had making these awesome cupcakes. Monsters and pumpkins, skeletons and spiders, mummies and vampires, oh my! #LikealotCakes

I’m a mermaid…

Wow! Not often do I get to do two similar cakes in the same month!! Mermaids were popular in September!! I loved them both; so much fun to do! #LikealotCakes

Hello Kitty and Strawberry fields forever…

What a weekend it was last week!! Three orders went out the door. The army cake posted a few days ago was a huge hit. But so were these awesome treats for some sweet little girls.

Mikaela’s strawberry themed party called for cake pops and cookies, complete with ‘daisies’. So fun!

Jayden loves Hello Kitty and her cake and cupcakes took the show!

Stayed tuned for this week’s orders: TMNT and mermaids!

In the army…

I love repeat customers. Especially when they hire me to make repeat theme cakes. Year two of army cakes for cool kid Matthew on his birthday. G.I. Joe who? #LikealotCakes

Business is BOOMING!

It’s been almost 5 months since my last post. And for good reason: business has been booming. Some weeks, we have multiple orders. Sleep becomes an ‘option’ as the orders must get done. We’ve sent some awesome creations out the door. We’ve had repeat customers and referrals to new clients. It’s a blessing to be able to do what I love and share that joy with friends during their special moments. The end of summer and early fall is already filling up with fun cakes and cookies. I can’t wait to see how this adventure continues to grow. #toGodbetheglory

“PAWSOME!”

Chase was on the case for this Paw Patrol cake for sweet Emma’s 4th birthday. To date, this was my largest cake (in width that is). It was a huge hit. Thank goodness, since Emma’s only been asking for a Paw Patrol cake for her birthday for months! Vanilla cake with buttercream filling and buttercream frosting. According to the party-goers, it was ‘bone’afied delicious. Paw Patrol cake

Busy baking!!

It’s been so busy these last 4 weeks, I haven’t even updated the latest goodies to leave the door. So much fun with a baby shower cake, baby gender reveal cake, Tangled cake & cupcakes, mermaid tail cake, Easter cookies, and cookie pops.

Who loves babies?

‘A little man is on his way’

This weekend’s highlighted cake is a traditional yellow cake with chocolate buttercream and fondant. This baby onesie cake, complete with bowtie and suspenders, was made for a special mom-to-be as she was showered by her sisters. Congratulations, Rachel Rose!
